Business Analyst (Insurance sector)
Job description
Job Responsibilities:
Job Requirements:
- Collaborate closely with stakeholders to determine the priority of business needs and requirements.
- Take ownership of understanding business needs and requirements and propose technical solutions in collaboration with various stakeholders.
- Collaborate with onshore and offshore development teams to ensure that the implementation and design align with the business requirements.
- Develop a roadmap for system changes based on predefined business initiatives and ad-hoc requests.
- Create user stories and documentation for business requirements.
- Consult and develop user acceptance testing (UAT) scenarios and plans, and lead the execution of UAT to ensure the deliverables meet the business needs and quality standards.
- Plan and provide operational support for rollout, including user training, user manuals, and post-implementation assistance.
- Serve as a subject matter expert on the system, providing first-line support to internal and external users.
- Provide guidance and coaching to subordinates and team members.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in IT/ Computer Science/ Information Systems or related discipline.
- At least 5 years of work experience as a Business Analyst in the insurance industry.
- Experience in supporting end-to-end system change delivery and providing front-line support for systems.
- Knowledge of general insurance (GI) products and insurance operations.
- Ability to independently lead business analysis activities.
- Excellent communication skills in English, Cantonese, and Mandarin, with the ability to work closely with business users, internal teams, and external vendors.
- Self-motivated and quick learner with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Prefer to have experience in B2B and B2C platforms and Agile methodology.
