Job description

The Director of Program Delivery - Financial Technology Solutions is a key leadership role responsible for driving the successful execution of technology initiatives within the Financial Technology portfolio. This individual will work closely with stakeholders across Finance, Technology Product Owners, Technical Delivery Leads, and various enablement teams to ensure the seamless delivery of technology projects. The role focuses on aligning technical solutions with business goals, managing timelines and budgets, identifying risks, and ensuring effective communication across all levels of the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Partner with Technology Product Owners, Delivery Leads, and Enablement Teams (including Accounting & Reporting, Actuarial Systems, Data Analytics, and Technical Architecture) to deliver high-impact technology solutions.
  • Develop, own, and maintain comprehensive delivery plans, resource allocation strategies, and risk management logs (RAID) for all technology workstreams.
  • Oversee the technical project management aspects of large-scale programs within the Financial Technology portfolio, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
  • Act as a bridge between technical teams and business stakeholders, ensuring clear communication and collaboration throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Monitor and report on project progress, milestones, and potential risks to senior leadership and governance forums.
  • Proactively identify and resolve technical challenges, ensuring minimal disruption to project timelines and deliverables.
  • Drive process optimization and efficiency improvements across project delivery teams.
  • Manage budgeting, forecasting, and resource allocation for all product areas within the Financial Technology portfolio.

Qualifications:

  • Experience: 15+ years of proven experience in technical program or project management, preferably within the Insurance or finance sectors
  • Collaboration Skills: Demonstrated ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams, including Technology Product Owners, Delivery Leads, and business stakeholders.
  • Analytical Expertise: Strong ability to analyse complex business requirements and translate them into actionable technical solutions.
  • Communication: Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to facilitate collaboration between technical and non-technical teams.
  • Certifications: Relevant project management certifications such as PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent.
